About Renew Family Medicine & Hormone Health PLLC

Hi, I’m Carinne Woodworth, PA-C Founder of Renew Family Medicine & Hormone Therapy Serving Raleigh and the greater Triangle area

For the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for families, children, teens, adults, and seniors across our community. Over that time, one truth has stayed the same: people want a clinician who listens — someone who sees the whole person, not just the chart or the clock.

Renew was created for patients who want care that feels personal, steady, compassionate, and grounded in real connection.

A Clinician Who Truly Listens

I believe healthcare works best when you feel:

  • Heard
  • Respected
  • Welcomed
  • Understood
  • Never rushed
  • Never judged

Our approach blends clinical experience with genuine curiosity about you — your life, your stressors, your wins, your story, and your goals.

Whether it’s managing thyroid disease, diabetes, blood pressure, weight challenges, anxiety, depression, ADHD, midlife transitions, or senior care… I listen first.

How I Can Help You

In my nearly two decades of practice, I've focused on the health issues that matter most in everyday life:

  • Metabolic wellness: thyroid disorders, prediabetes, Type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance
  • Cardiovascular health
  • ADHD medication management
  • Mental & emotional well-being: anxiety, depression, sleep, stress
  • Midlife care & BHRT (for women and men)
  • Senior care: active aging & complex geriatric support
  • Minor Procedures: joint injections, abscesses, skin biopsies

I enjoy helping people navigate real-life health challenges with clarity, dignity, and shared decision-making.

Why I Practice the Way I Do

Part of why I listen deeply is because I’ve been on the other side of healthcare. I live with Crohn’s disease, so I understand what it’s like to manage chronic symptoms, navigate specialists, and feel the impact health has on your life.

That experience shaped the heart behind Renew:

  • More empathy
  • More patience
  • More partnership
  • More real conversations
  • More intentional care

Healthcare changes when someone truly sees you.

A Faith-Shaped Approach to Care

My Christian faith is central to who I am — and it shapes how I care for others. To me, faith means:

  • Compassion
  • Dignity
  • Service
  • Honesty
  • Humility
  • Seeing the worth in every person

You don’t need to share my beliefs to feel welcome here. Everyone is treated with respect, kindness, and care.

Outside the Clinic

When I’m not in the office, you’ll usually find me:

  • Spending time with my chocolate lab, Staley
  • Gardening and being outside
  • Cheering on the Chicago Bears
  • At church or volunteering in the community
  • Enjoying time with friends and family

These simple joys keep me grounded and grateful.

Who I Care For

I welcome:

  • Children (ages 6+)
  • Teens
  • Adults
  • Midlife adults
  • Older adults
  • Seniors with both simple and complex needs
  • Neurodivergent patients
  • Individuals navigating hormone changes
  • Patients using insurance or self-pay

Everyone deserves a place where they feel seen.

Why I Started Renew

After years in traditional healthcare settings, I felt called to create a space where patients could experience:

  • Slower, more thoughtful visits
  • A clinician who truly knows them
  • Help navigating chronic conditions
  • Support through midlife transitions
  • Compassionate senior care
  • Inclusive and nonjudgmental mental health support
  • A safe place for neurodivergent patients
  • Access regardless of insurance type

Renew was built to restore what many people feel is missing in modern medicine: relationship.
